Souk Designs brings beautiful, handmade handbags, silk jewellery and decorative textile accessories to a wider audience in the UK. Made from the finest suedes and silks in a palette of stunning jewel colours and earthy tones, Souk's products are beautiful to look at and touch. Our gifts range in price from keyrings at £4 to our largest suede bags at £99.

Inspired by many visits to Marrakesh over the past decade, I had dreamed for a long time about turning my passion for many of the beautiful products I found there into a business.

Having trained as a textile designer, I have always loved colour and texture and still work as a designer today. I knew many of Morocco's traditional artisan skills could be interpreted for a European market, but felt that they deserved to be presented in a unique way with respect for their inherent craftsmanship and quality.

I started SOUK to work with local manufacturers in Morocco and beyond to source products that:

• employ traditional craft skills
• have a contemporary design edge
• use high quality natural materials
• are unlike other products on our High Streets
• have "Ooohhhh!" appeal
